Position Details
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Position Type/Schedule:
Part-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible. This position works twenty-four (24) hours per week, generally six hours per day, Monday through Thursday. Monday is a required on-site workday. Hybrid work is generally available Tuesday through Thursday, subject to departmental and operational needs. Working Friday in place of another weekday may be discussed during the interview process.

Summary
Reporting to the designated department leader, the Coordinator provides administrative, operational, financial, personnel, project, and customer-service support to the department. The position works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, external contacts, and other University departments to support departmental operations and priorities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Provide administrative, operational, and customer-service support to department leadership and team members.
- Respond to inquiries and prepare and maintain departmental correspondence, reports, files, databases, and records.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, events, programs, projects, travel, and related logistics.
- Assist with purchasing, financial documentation, recruitment, onboarding, and other personnel processes.
- Maintain departmental information, monitor deadlines, and coordinate with internal and external contacts.
- Handle confidential information and perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five years of related administrative, customer-service, financial, program, or project-support experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong organizational, communication, time-management, customer-service, and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, work independently and collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn relevant financial, personnel, scheduling, and database systems.
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit, legal, professional services, or another complex office environment preferred.
Supervision & Budget Authority
• This position does not supervise employees or have independent budget authority.
• The Coordinator may provide task-related guidance to student workers or temporary employees when assigned.

- Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment using a computer and telephone.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, electronically, and in writing.
- Must be able to occasionally move materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
